    It's Not the Pricetag That Counts!

    I liked the style test Emily offers, and I found out why I like mid century modern as well as traditional! She gives specific directions about how to arrange little vignettes on a coffee table or bookshelf. Very few items shown are super valuable--just things someone loves! I find that is true in my life--the things I am drawn to are not necessarily costly. Most are reminders of a person, place or occasion I remember fondly. Emily is an interesting, down-to-earth person with a style to match!

    I didn’t learn too much from this book

    I was expecting to learn the basic principles of decoration, but I did not. I am very disappointed by this book. I learned only one thing or two, this is why I gave a 3 stars. But not recommend it, except for the nice images for inspiration.

    Great book. Wish I had read it when I was taking Interior Design.

    A must for beginning designers or people learning to decorate for themselves. Helps you develop your own style and not get caught up in a label like "traditional" or "contemporary "
