Product Information

Battletoads and Double Dragon are two of the NES' best beat-'em-ups, and the two franchises merge surprisingly well in this superb crossover follow-up to Rare's 1991 hit. Five playable characters are now available -- Zitz, Rash and Pimple from Battletoads, and Jimmy and Billy from Double Dragon. Each fighter has their own style, yet the gameplay remains consistent no matter whom you choose. The action is definitely more Battletoads than Double Dragon, but Rare does a fine job at connecting the two universes without making it seem forced or arbitrary. The visuals are just as impressive as in the first game, with colorful environments, humorous animation and detailed character movement. <!--Book-->

    The game I didn’t get caught slipping on

    This game is pretty rad, and also very elusive but I finally own it! I was lucky that I didn’t have anybody to to Jedi mind trick me out of getting this game unlike a guy I saw in Roswell New Mexico who had it in his hands but then put it down because there was some sticker residue on it. It will forever be the day that 8-Bit Eric is infamous for, slipping on Battletoads Double Dragon. Be sure to check that out on episode 20 of the Game Chasers on YouTube.

    Great game. Should have bought sooner

    The gameplay is very enjoyable. The game has a interesting variety of levels. The music and game are great and ahead of their time from 1993. The combination of Battletoads and Double dragons bring back a lot of nostalgia.

    Battletoads/Double Dragon

    One of the best games of all time. NES is by far the superior version. Smooth gameplay. Just a super fun and also rare collectible game.
