This quartz Speedway #14383 is kindred to the venerable Invicta Pro Diver but with a Chronograph. I enjoy my purchase.
The #14383 is a quartz watch with the SS beef of Invicta's Pro Divers @ 40mm. Bezel is fixed with a a tachymeter scale that only says "Units Per Hour" which is interesting. The critics cite that the tachymeter is useless because the running seconds hand for the watch is the long arrow which is usually the chronometer counting seconds hand, so you can't start the long seconds hand to use the tachymeter. I knew this before buying and it didn't matter to me. One can stop ..."hack"....that seconds hand at 12 o'clock and then start it to measure a "units per hour" event, but that's a bit ponderous and then you'd have to set the time after each use. The chronograph or stop watch is very useful particularly that it scales up to 60 MINUTES on the 9 subdial which I prefer over my other chronos that just go to 30 MINUTES. Love the date display and the 24 hour subdial which helps me reset the date in the safe time frame without damage to the date change wheel. The crown and pushers are all screw down, a fun little exercise for watch lovers. The dial grabbed me, the sunburst radiant dial in this strange lemon yellow that I love. Screw down back is a plus. I knew it would bring the famous Invicta quality SS bracelet, that sized easy. Solid SS links but for the hollow end links, just like my Pro Divers. A plus that bracelet. Everything is quality in this dazzling watch for under $100.
