Door lock actuator
It's time to replace if the car locks, but the door won't unlock on the remote, it's a pain either reaching over, or using the key to unlock every time. I've replaced 3 now, I've found it's easier to remove the window frame, rather than trying to wiggle it in, probably half the time and frustration, take a photo on your phone so you remember where everything went, make sure you've got torx bits and a selection of small 8,10,13 sockets, takes 30 minutes - 1 hr, Good luck

Best value replacement part
There are so many second hand door locks for Land Rover Discovery 2's on sale and they are £50+ and over 20 years old. This is a brand new genuine part for a little over twice the price but should last for many many more years. Its the best value replacement, especially if you expect to keep your car for some time to come.

Works perfectly.
Original failed after 17yrs of service, this original replacement was good value and delivered very quickly. Replacement is a pain, like most jobs in a D2! However, the vehicle now locks and unlocks using the remote as it should.

would have been better if the rods and connections were with it
