Blow by Blow 1975
I got this from Ebay music. 5.00 Good value if you like the music. Anybody that has any kind of rock- jazz inclination should appreciate this. Originally released in 1975 as a Vinyl album Blow by Blow and Wired the next year stand as 2 of Becks most important contributions to the Fusion movement happening at the time. Careful blend of electric and jazz sounds. Last recording with Max Middleton who lends himself well to the tight structure of the tunes. Its not hiphop and its not pop. So todays younger listeners or those that require vocals will probably not appreciate it. This is the best recording by Jeff in my opinion. This album is responsible for jumping the tracks from Aero Smith, Frampton and Boston at the time to Herbie Hancock funk and Wayne Shorter and all things Jazz

The cat is not bad for a white boy.
May be I am growing. Thing is Mr, Beck is amazing. He never 'caught' my ear. So I only have one other recording. To me he abuses the wammy bar, and has a lack of dynamic range. The compressed volume coupled with his style of phrasing puts me to sleep. Therefore I listen to him in increments. His master full skill and dedication are evident. Try Robbin Ford. Give me Magic Slim!!!! Chris

A little more strictly instrumental music than I usually listen to.
I bought the CD for one particular song, Freeway Jam, & it was worth the money for that song. The rest of the CD U would rate a 6
