Go for the Kindle Fire HDX even if you have to buy used I am and have been happy with my 8" KFHDX wanted bigger storage and screen. Get that X!!!!!!
I bought it used after sending back a Brand New 10 inch KFHD, decided I liked my 7" KF HDX more, just wanted larger HDX much better picture + 64 GBS was an unexpected plus. Battery is OK for me, have not timed it, very satisfied. HDX is better picture than HD, not even sure what X means when it comes to Kindle Fire but I might have to find out. Disappointed
The battery is slow to charge and doesn't hold the charge for long. For what was to be a new product I am sorry I wasted my money. My previous Kindle Fire HDX broke and I just wanted a replacement.
