Raymond Burr in 1960's San Francisco Scene
After watching all 9 seasons of Perry Mason twice, then watching the much later Perry Mason TV movies, I decided it was time to delve into Ironside. The 1967 San Francisco setting, combined with a colorful cast of characters, frames Raymond Burr's very gruff character as a retired Chief of Police in a wheelchair consulting for the current Chief. The writing is decent, plenty of famous guest stars, and the episodes are pleasantly engaging. If you like Raymond Burr, cop and detective shows, and the 1960's San Francisco scene, you'll spend many entertaining hours going through this set.
