Looks like a solid well-built item. I feel negative reviews of this item are usually from people using it with heavy duty impact guns and large ball joints. I will be using this for tie rods only.

Chunkily built but weak
Looks hefty but the pivot bolt bent badly on first use. After splitting a couple of joints the bolt was bent too. The cupped section that sits under the ball joint has an opening that was too narrow, and the maximum open reach wasnt quite large enough for my needs so had to be modified with an angle grinder. Ended up doing the job but it wasnt great.

Perfect tool for the job
Nice easy tool to use on hard troublesome ball joints, made an easy job of removing them, the centre pin is a little bent now but works fine.

just what i needed, great product.
Just what I needed for the job I was doing. Well made and strong. Track rod came without any bother came off within two minutes without applying to much pressure.

Worse than useless.
The mild steel tightening bolt sheared off on the first use, had to cut it off to release. Very poor quality and design.

Good value.
The spindle is too loose. I fitted a close fitting one and it is a great improvement.

Baught this tool to change my toe rod end first time I used the tool it snapped under very little pressure very brittle tool
