Necessary
If you have a vintage car, this is a must for your trunk. You can remove your wheel covers and probably replace them on the road when the situation calls. While it falls a little short with the mallet size if your wheel cover is a super tight fit, you can use your 32 oz. rubber mallet at home.

Hub cap remover review
I restore dodge cars and the ones I have, have the dog dish hubcaps on cop wheels. Hubcaps difficult to remove without this tool and prevents me from marring and scratching up the wheels when removing hubcaps. Had one of these years ago, and lost it. So when I saw these I bought them. Actually bought one for each of my cars.
