Comfortable if you don’t mind the extra weight.
I need a saddle that would absorb more shock and road bumps on my Brompton for commuting. I didn’t want to deal with the break and maintenance of a leather saddle so this seemed to be the best option. I brought one and tried it for a few days. Once I got it set up properly, it was comfortable and much better than the standard Brompton saddle on my older 3 speed and the newer Fizik R7 saddle (currently fitted to the 4 speed P Line Brompton). It’s got a lot more “give” than most of my other saddles, probably why it feels more comfortable. I was impressed enough to order a second one for my newer P Line.
It’s not a light saddle, but that’s not important to me. It’s worth noting the one I have has a fiber glass rear end and it’s limited to 2.5kg of weight if you are attaching a saddle bag to the loops. I believe there is a more costly version with a metal rear end that might take more weight. I only put a few essential tools in my saddle bag, so not an issue for me.
The version I have has a nylon top which has a bit of texture, but is slippery enough to allow movement on the saddle.
I have sat on broken in leather Brooks saddles, the C17 is not as comfortable as one of those, but more than good enough for everyday use.
