The Chronicles of Narnia consists of a seven volume set of stories written by C. S. Lewis. These were written over fifty years ago and could be considered on a par with Tolkin's writing. The difference between Tolkin and Lewis is that Lewis's stories have a biblical base in them. These books were written for children but their theme is also enjoyed by young and older adults. C. S. Lewis was and still is one of the most popular Christian writers of our time.
