QAF Shines!
A look into the eyes of gay men who try to navigate life in their Pittsburg town. The show holds no boundaries when it shows sex, addiction, homophobia, AIDS, and so many other topics. The acting is incredible and the stories are engaging. Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Hal Sparks, and Peter Paige totally shine in their roles. A "must see' for everyone!
I have the entire series of Queer As Folk, and enjoy having a "binge", watching one season after another. This series, when it came out, was VERY controversial because it showed gay men and women going about daily life and also, let you into the bedroom of the characters to see what was going on there, too! It shows the fun side of Gay life and also, the really BAD side of Gay life,beatings, bullying and prejudice. When watching these DVD's, I get drawn in to their world, a world I never experienced because I had to stay in the closet, hidden and afraid to be seen for what I was-Gay. I didn't "come out" to my family until I was in my late 40's and by then, the "fun" world of Gay life had passed me by. I showed this series to my Gay Nephew and He was so captivated by the series, it gave Him the courage to come out and be free. He has a loving partner and the support of all of His family and friends. I would recommend this series for anyone that enjoys good characters, great story lines and plot twists. It is a series that all people, Gay or Straight should see at least once to know that Gay people are no different in their daily lives that anyone else, except that they love someone of the same sex.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

I love this show

Living on the edge.
Story line runs to the extreme, but there is a basis in reality. Acting is a little stilted in the beginning, but improves to a convincing level as more chapters are filmed. For the most part, it depicts that time accurately.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
