  • Makes aliens seem alien

Just started reading it, but so far it's done a great job of illustrating aliens that are actually alien in appearance and concept, not just cosplaying humans or orcs with neon axes. It places an emphasis on making them appear as functional and uncanny organisms, not just abstract monsters that could only survive on paper, and they all have an accompanying illustration or two with a blurb about a unique part of their anatomy. Great as reference material or if you want to see creatures that may still be otherwise unillustrated from various sci-fi novels.
