I love it!
I'm not sure why I've read a few negative reviews on this imported 3d box set. I bought this version because I COULD NOT find it here in the States. The only 3d versions here were the theatrical cuts (which did not come in a box set) and the extended 2D box set (which was said to have the same type of packaging at my Lord of the rings extended Blu ray set). I honestly expected this to be in some flimsy paper case with some poorly put together packing based on some reviews I saw, but I was quite pleased. This is exactly like my golden LOTR box set. The box is Beautifully put together with the magnetic flap that comes down, revealing the map of middle earth. The only thing I could think of that was a little annoying was that the box is much fatter (as are the cases that the movies come in) than the 2D box set....But that's because there are 6 extra discs in there! Come one people! Each 3D version of the film is split up intok 2 discs. Then you have the 2 discs of special features for each movie, and then the 2D copy of each movie. So no duh they have much chunked cases! Great value for everything you're getting, plus the 3D is great on my Samsung SUHD tv!

Very good product.
The copy I got was perfect. I've read that other people are having a problem with a disc or two but I had no problems at all. Used them with my Samsung TV (battery glasses) and my Samsung DVD player. 3D was very good. (didn't watch the other format) I've seen bad ratings for the movie but I'm only rating the product itself here, not the movie (though I really like it :) Haven't tried to get the digital copy though. I know I have to redirect my internet through a program to get it and probably won't bother. The price on this is good enough that I can do without it. I would recommend this to a friend, or even an enemy if he likes The Hobbit....

One of best movies all time
This trilogy keeps you engaged and has great story line one of best movies ever made in my opinion

If you liked the LOTR trilogy then you'll like theses
I only gave this a 4 star review because I dont care for the packaging of this set. I have the blu-ray extended edition LOTR trilogy boxset also and the packaging is much nicer. It might be because I think these ones were not specifically zoned for the US Im not sure. But they are in new condition and work so Im stil happy with this purchase

The Hobbit
Found it less expensive after I ordered it, oh well, will look longer next time. Love the movies, now I need Lord of the rings in 3D blu Ray.

Good value and good Quality product, but the digital copy was not valid in the US, only in UK, but otherwise good price.

The movies are great
Glad to have this collection in my 3D library. But, disappointed it isn’t region free and I am unable to download a digital version for viewing on my other devices.

Excellent 3D Hobbit Trilogy Extended Version
I enjoyed the 3D effects especially in the extended release version. A must have for the avid collector especiallly if the purchase cost is well below market value.
