What’s more, bookworms will not be disappointed with "The Stand", as the screenplay has been written by Stephen King himself, who does complete justice to the novel.

Classic King
Yes, its dated, and some of the dialog is silly, but it was a great adaptation of the original novel. We now have mini-series (limited run series) coming back to TV, which is a great way to handle a novel, rather than trying to squeeze into 2 hours. Will watch again every 2 or 3 years.

Fantastic story of battle between good and evil
Steven Kings best selling novel of mans final battle between good and evil. Made for TV, but with the big screen epic feel.

Best post-apocalypse TV movie!
Call me a dork, but I love this made-for-TV movie! I watch this every time that it is aired on TV. It is long and of course does not go into as much detail as the book, but it is enjoyable in a campy sort of way. Gary Sinese is great as Stu, or "East Texas". Stephen King does his regular cameo appearance although he does have a bigger role in this movie than he usual does (or did a few years back). Randall Flagg character sports a mullet and Molly Ringwald sports a dark brown short bob. Gotta see this one! ;)
