Product Information

David Hall
The 1914-D is quite rare in circulated grades and is one of the semi-keys dates in the Buffalo nickel series. There were appparently some examples saved in mint state condition as though scarce, choice and gem specimens can be obtained. In gem MS65 or better condition, the 1914-D is about equal in rarity to the 1913-D Type 2 and 1915-D. Strike is usually ok on this issue, as it is on the other early D-mints. Luster is the usual early Buffalo nickel satin look and can be either a little subdued (dull) or somewhat bright.Product Identifiers
