Sassoon at his best.
If you like to be transported back to the era of WW1 then this is the ideal book. Sassoon uses his talent for words to encapsulate the moment splendidly and you "feel" it. Only Masters can do this and he is one.

Interesting book particularly for people who were familiar with the area during that time.
Interesting book - particularly as some of the family grew up in 'Butley Village' and I purchased the book for our Grandson who is very interested in our family history.
