Blissful Peace!
Being a chronic migraine sufferer and so very sensitive to sound, I use these earmuffs to block out traffic noise and to muffle my children's shrieking. Especially effective for blocking the traffic noise!! I would be lost without them, as I don't like wearing ear plugs. Not so good if you need them for sleeping but where I live it's not noisy during the night.

Good sound reduction but very big!
These are the top of the range ear defenders from 3M. I have the X4 as well, the X5's are noticibally quieter than the X4, but not by much. I would probably go for the X4 for general use, mainly because they are about half the thickness of the X5's. You will look like you work on an airport runway with these on.

Best attenuation defenders on the market
A modest but noticeably significant improvement , better still than Peltor Optime III 's - well worth it if you detest the old titinus. Not too heavy at all, snug fit, comfortable for extended wear, fine for dual protection combined c UltimateEar plugs if so wished.
