An enhanced version of Nintendo's popular Wii title, Wii Fit U adds a host of new activities, off-TV play capabilities, gym communities, and the ability to share information with the new Fit Meter pedometer accessory. The action is designed to get gamers moving by incorporating the Wii Remote, Wii Balance Board, and GamePad into a variety of activities, including the new dance mode and games like Core Luge, Trampoline Target, and Puzzle Squash. Players can also use the Personal Trainer mode to track their progress, get workout recommendations, or set up their own routines.<br><br>The Fit Meter is a small circular object that can be used anywhere, and, in addition to counting steps, it also measures acceleration and atmospheric pressure to present a more accurate assessment of calories burned. Users can then sync their Fit Meter with their GamePad to view detailed graphs of all their activities, or they can take on special Walking Challenges or Altitude Challenges to see how far they would have travelled along famous locations, mountains, and monuments. Good but would make adjustments
You can't use this on carpet. The program has high expectations of the user. If you have physical disabilities the program has no way of taking that into consideration and will keep prompting you to change your performance. When the program considers your height and weight it automatically selects an image of yourself so if you are overweight it makes your mii fat. If you can't perform the required tasks, the game instructor gives you nasty undesirable looks and words or discouragement. Not an encouraging game if you aren't in excellent physical health. Something for everyone!
The game and fit meter work as expected. The game has so many activities to try that I have a hard time imagining ever getting bored with them! There is something for everyone, and it's a great way to get some exercise when going outside isn't an option! We ended up getting a second fit meter for my husband, and now we compete with each other for number of steps, calories burned, and high score in each of the games. Great board and games :-D
This product arrived on time, I was anxious after reading some reviews that it might only work on Wii U, but it works on my Wii system. I am really happy with this product, the balance board works great and I love the games it came with. I'm excited to get in better shape using it. Exactly What I Wanted
I got this as a gift from my parents since I wanted something to help get me more fit and record my steps while I'm at work. It's done exactly that, though I haven't gotten to use it much aside from recording steps while working. One day I used the game so much after work that I ended up hobbling like an old woman due to being sore (I'd worked late that day), but I didn't let that stop me from going to the mall with my friends. Great value for a great package!
A great workout if you're a behind the desk, never get to go out much person like me. Wii Fit U has a great mixture training such as yoga and strength training, dance, sports, and fitness disguised as games. The fit meter is great for tracking your walking/climbing habits, I found out that my walk from my parking spot to my office is about a mile, and so far climbing the stairs has gotten me up to the top of the Statue of Liberty :-) Exercises can be adjusted to whatever you want to do. Pick them à la carte, by how many minutes you'd like to work out, by how many calories you want to burn, or several other choices. The balance board doesn't feel like a gimmick either. I'm a bit unbalanced, and with the exercises which require balance it shows! These exercises tend to have a yellow bar or spot, and a dot that shows your balance. In my case I the dot will be moving around a lot, though the exercises seem to have slowly improved my balance. Finally, I like to leave a word of warning. What is not included with Wii Fit U, and what is needed in some exercises, are the Wii remote plus controller and nunchuk attachment. In fact, some of the dance games require 2 Wii remote plus controllers. Fortunately, the majority of exercises don't need these, but if you want to make full use of the package, make sure you have these peripherals. Good value and fun!

Great Fitness Game for Kids and Grownups

Engaging and fun
To be honest, I did not like to exercise. I do not like to exercise. I did not have an active life and I had plenty to show for that. I never played the original "Wii fit" game but when I seen someone on youtube playing the Wii fit U game, I thought it was fun. Really fun. This game was sold at a super duper reasonable price not to mention that everything included in this deal is brand new and everything is here. I play the game everyday and I notice the difference within myself. The exercises are effective, the games are really fun and I am able to conceal my personal information (weight, BMI, and wii fit age) conceal from my family whenever they play it. Furthermore, I can keep this information confidential whenever I go online (I don't go online but it's good to know!). If I learn one thing from this game was when I first started until now, I've now been super duper conscious about my balance and how important it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It wasn't until this game did I actually go jogging and feel great afterward! From trampoline jump, yoga stretches and even a trainer challenge where you compete against your trainer on who can do the most jackknifes, planks, etc., this game also includes a variety of balance games like one where you hold the game pad like a tray, walk on the balance board and deliver sweets to customers. The game includes not only the balance board and game pad but also a Wii remote (motion plus as well) and/or another Wii mote with motion plus to play the dance games (Salsa, locking, hip hop, etc.) and even a nun chuck (for the kung fu game). Awesome board
I bought this board so that I could play my exercise games on my Wii and it works fantastic. I have the original Wii so the game and fit meter were useless to me but I knew that before I bought it. Best Purchase I Made
