Very entertaining
My Rome and Pompeii historian husband treasures this movie as a very realistic rendering of the Last Days of Pompeii. Great actors in this edition. He has put this DVD aside in a special place so he doesn't misplace it like a previous one he had or lent to someone. Great movie!

A Great Miniseries
Being a Roman Empire Historian, the miniseries is very engaging. Naturally, like other miniseries, it does get a little "watered down" in some spots. A stellar cast helps to smooth out the rough spots. The climax is well worth the wait. This two-disc version runs about 331 minutes. Well worth the money.
