Simple, inexpensive, click pawl style reel. Small, compact, and not heavy. Easy to clean, maintain, and keep in fine operating condition. The black unported body version comes with a spool that has a drag gear made of metal. That spool can be identified by its 2 rows of holes. Only that version of this reel will be dependable, durable, and a great value. The ported black body version comes a spool that has a dark gray PLASTIC drag gear, which will crack apart very easily with use. That particular version can be identified by its tell tale 3 rows of holes. It is very poorly made and is a bad item at any price, something I learned the hard way after owning a few of those spools whose plastic gear broke apart with normal usage. Timeless quality
