A great performance of a superb piece of music
In this year of Lockdowns and cancelled concerts we have not been able to see "The Messiah" performed live this year.. so I had the idea of buying it on DVD . This is a great performance, superb sound quality and nice crisp but unintrusive camerawork. We even like the way that DVD 1 ends with applause and DVD2 starts with the choir etc coming on stage , so you get "an interval" for drinks and comfort breaks :) There are many DVDs of Handel's Messiah, but in my opinion this one is probably the best.
