Strange story
Daniel Day Lewis said his role affected him.I can believe it. It's best seen as an exaggerated tale of a controlling man being overcome by an intuitive but forgiving young woman .It could more easily have been a pedestrian murder tale. What a great actor he is! I will miss him.

A different "greeat" movie.
