Less is More w/ this Great Mascara
I like this mascara, and its pros outweigh its cons for sure. It is very black and has a smaller wand so it's easy to apply, even in the corners of your eyes. It definitely adds artificial length (that can look quite natural) and a bit of volume to your lashes. Over application quickly results in clumps, so apply slowly/sparingly. **If you want more length without the clumping, you can simply go back after initial application and only run the wand from about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up your lashes to the end. This way you can build on the length a bit without adding additional product to the rest of your lashes .** I really like the extra length as it makes me look more bright-eyed. I only add a very, very thin layer (or use another lighter-weight mascara) to my lower lashes so it's not so ... I like this mascara, and its pros outweigh its cons for sure. This does the trick, and I love the ends result--which usually lasts all day for me because it's a heavier mascara and I don't get much flaking or black coming off under my eye. Some More Cons & More about Applying: You cannot over apply this mascara because you will get clumping in your lashes pretty quickly, especially when the tube is brand new and a lot of product comes out on the wand. Over applying will also give you "spider lashes" because the lashes clump together in groups and look unnatural. I have found myself trying to fix a clump of this mascara by running the wand through again and again but this just makes it worse! It's better to leave it be, or if it looks bad/bothers you, use a tissue and gently pull the clump/mascara off that part of lashes and re-apply. A nice clean couple of coats is all it takes for you to get full and long lashes! **If you want more length without the clumping, you can simply go back after initial application and only run the wand from about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up your lashes to the end. This way you can build on the length a bit without adding additional product to the rest of your lashes .** know that there is some kind of product inside that literally adds fake length to you lashes, maybe something fibrous but not sure. It sticks to your lashes and then builds up on itself. Last thing I noticed, this mascara can be difficult to remove because of the product that adds the length (I think). It almost feels like you're removing a thin layer of wax that won't wash away with water. You will probably need makeup remover, as I have, because face soap requires too much scrubbing with this mascara. It is very easy to remove with makeup remover, though, so not really a coin... maybe even a pro because it'll stay on all day with little budging and can probably hold up against water and sweat better! Just get it. Lol.

Benefit THEY'RE REAL MASCARA
An internet review of women magazines editors' favorite mascaras led me to try They're Real mascara. My go to mascara for past year has been L'Oreal Voluminous Original, which has been perfect until recently, when it started causing my eyes to itch and water. I've been looking for a replacement for Voluminous. I've had this product about 10 days and used it twice. I liked the initial application and the brush. It seems to lengthen and separate your lashes and goes on with good coverage in fewer applications for more dramatic eye appeal even with thin lashes like mine, but don't let it dry between coats because it makes your lashes very stiff and hard to work with. I never achieved the intense super black color I like, but it wasn't too bad of contrast with 3 applications. If you ... If you have thick lashes and don't like the super intense black eyelash color I do, this might work for you. By the time I got enough color for contrast and length, you almost feel like your lashes might break or crack like a china dish. I think this probably isn't a very good product for your eyelash health. When I went to remove it at the end of the day I was not too thrilled as I found it difficult to remove. I used first Neutrogena Naturals Facial Cleanser, which had no effect on the mascara, and then had to use a Neutrogena Makeup Remover towlette, which took most of it off, but there were still little clumps holding on. Finally I used olive oil and another towlette to get the oil and mascara totally off. I don't like using so many products on the fragile eye area or having to scrub to get mascara off. I have a lot of allergies, particularly to mascara, but this product did not cause me any problem. The lengthening effect seems to come from the brush, there aren't those pesky little bits of fiber that some mascaras have that get in your eyes. It seems that this would be a good mascara for a humid environment or if you go swimming. There was no smearing or running at all in a 14 hour day. If you are not looking for a super intense black color, but just want something tough for a day, this would be perfect. Plus--Nice brush with good coverage, color and brush lengthening/separation of lashes No allergic reaction or yucky fibers to add length No smearing or running Minus-Very difficult to remove Makes your lashes very stiff and hard

The mascara is good, but the wand is absolutely awful! Not enough product gets on the wand, which is very hard & short, yet the tip has much longer bristles which are also very hard. This makes it difficult to get in the corners & since the rest of the wand has short bristles, you put it at your lashes & the longer ones hit your eyelids, getting product all around your skin. Worst wand I've ever used! I think I'm going to just use an old wand with it from another brand. The mascara is good, but the wand is absolutely awful! Not enough product gets on the wand, which is very hard & short, yet the tip has much longer bristles which are also very hard. This makes it difficult to get in the corners & since the rest of the wand has short bristles, you put it at your lashes & the longer ones hit your eyelids, getting product all around your skin. Worst wand I've ever used! I think I'm going to just use an old wand with it from another brand.

What happened?
I don’t know what happened between the trial size and the full size. I adore the mascara I got in my Ipsy bag so I bought the full size. Maybe it was where I bought it from I have no idea. It is absolutely nothing like what I originally received. The trial size never got goopy, it made my lashes long, it didn’t hurt my lash line. I’m going to look into returning it if possible.

best mascara
This has to be my favorite mascara. Brush takes a little getting used to but well worth it to basically have 2 types of brushes on 1 wand. The end of the brush has a burst of bristles which seek out every little lash. Looking at my eyes without mascara you would think I have no lashes! They are very light and very fine. Amazing how this mascara turns my wisps into eyelashes! Lengthening and thickening. Stays on and does not smudge off. Not waterproof, which is good because you can get it off, but almost like waterproof because it stays on so well.This has to be my favorite mascara.
