Buy it if you're a fan
I was a big Magnum P.I. fan in the '80s, and enjoyed watching the repeats in the early 1990s, and again in the early 2000s. I hadn't seen any episode since then so I decided to start buying the seasons on DVD one by one. This season one DVD set features the episodes as they originally aired - uncut 50 minute episodes - including the use of the original opening theme music for the first 10 or 11 episodes. That music is quite different from its replacement that became so popular, written by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter. I remember hearing the theme on the radio many times during the summer of 1981. Bottom line - buy it.

very entertaining program.
this was not a brand new dvd set. There are obvious smudges on the discs. The first disc I watched stopped in the middle of the program, and wouldn't continue playing. I washed the disc, and that made it work properly. All of the discs have obviously been played before, and not handled properly.
