In the picture they appear like a Merino Sock from Smartwool for example, but the construction is very different. There is no extra cushioning on the heel or toe and there is a toe seam, it is not a flat loop seam as described. Having made these points they are robust... I walk on average 35- 40 miles a week with my dog. I wore one pair over 4 days and very little wear and no blisters.
