The only way to find out which is the right firm, is to buy and test for yourself. I also cut smaller pieces for pillows. Can't go wrong with these, many ways to use these cushions. Fast shipment of item and came in a very small box - I was anticipating this to be a large item. Just make sure to pull it out of the box and remove shrink wrap so you can give time for the foam to expand. Doesn't have any weird odors like some foam, exactly what I needed. Thanks again!
