Star Wars for the Game Gear loosely follows the storyline of the movie. Begin the game as Princess Leia in her search for R2-D2. After Leia gives the droid the plans to the Death Star, you then play as Luke Skywalker. Each level has a character that is set in the storyline, but you are eventually allowed to switch between them once they are all met. <br><br>Playable characters include Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Meanwhile, three other characters (C-3PO, R2-D2 and Obi-Wan Kenobi) give you helpful messages throughout the game. Enemies that they will encounter through their adventure include Jawas, Tusken Raiders, Greedos, blue aliens, Bounty Hunters and Stormtroopers. <br><br>Players will have to run and jump their way through most of the adventure while blasting the bad guys. However, a few levels do allow you to control vehicles on your way to destroying the Death Star.
