Product Information

Eidos resurrects one of the earliest and most fondly remembered stealth franchises as gamers once again take control of the skilled burglar Garrett in Thief. The action takes place in a dystopian metropolis known only as The City, where Victorian and steampunk themes abound, and the wealthy hold parties in their mansions while the destitute masses lay dying in the gutters, riddled with plague. An oppressive leader known as The Baron and the jackbooted thugs of his Baron's Watch violently suppress any dissent, but a man named Orion is helping to foment a citizen's revolt.<br><br>Garrett is a simple thief, albeit one with spectacular skills, but he soon finds himself in the middle of a potential revolution, and gamers must help him use his superior abilities to prevent The City from destroying itself. Though armed with a bow and a blackjack to knock out unsuspecting foes, Garrett is not an especially skilled fighter, and players are generally much better off choosing a path of pure stealth as they pickpocket citizens and make their way through back alleys, across rooftops, and into well-guarded homes. There are multiple paths to reach each target area, and gamers can use a variety of arrows, a claw for grappling, or Garrett's special Focus ability to enhance his vision, highlight key areas, and slow time.<br><br>Customers who preorder Thief receive a bonus Bank Heist mission in which they must infiltrate the maximum-security Stonemarket First Bank in order to swipe the famous necklace of the Hudnall family.

Better than I thought it would be
The game is pretty good. It's not difficult to play, the story isn't too great but it's entertaining. In my opinion the game is a lot better than some of the reviews I've read.

Best game ive bought
I had a copy of thief and it got so played there was a visible groove in the disc so i bought another copy. I love this game

You Can't Tax What You Can't Catch.
I Love everything about this game. The graphics are excellent it delivered on time, I'd buy it again. 😁

Fun but dim
The game is played by my grandson. He enjoys it but the graphics are very dark. It is difficult to see in a non-darkened room.

Slow !!!
While the story is engaging to a point, the game play is slow to develop. If able to snag at a decent price, get it; if not, pass this by until you can get it on the very cheap.
