Excited but sad folks buy to keep consumers from purchasing at the regular price! If left me no choice and I hate that!!
My Maya Barbie arrived timely and good shape!! She’s with my other Barbie collections and looks great!! My only gripe is that people see these items and buy them in masses to re-sale at enormous prices! Collectible as in collecting cherished memories.
I understand that this is part of a collection of "collectible" dolls, but I bought it for my granddaughter to play with. I feel strongly that all kiddos need should have access to dolls that look like them. We have black, white, and brown grandkids and finding good representations can be challenging. Maya Angelou was and continues to be my "shero"...
I hate that I wasn't able to purchase this doll via the original sale because Maya Angelou was and continues to be my "shero". I also hated that so many people sought to profit off of others' (who truly wanted the doll) inability to buy her when she was released, too; however, I managed to get her at a fairly reasonable price, and she really is an awesome doll. The attention to detail within her clothing, accessories, face, and backdrop are very impressive.
