Finally, a true Baker Street Blockbuster!
I have the first 3 seasons of SHERLOCK and have been a Sherlock Holmes fan since I first saw my father watching an episode of Sherlock Holmes played by Ronald Howard, and Marion H Crawford playing Watson, back in the early 1950's. The Abominable Bride is the FIRST time that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have gone VICTORIAN. This is a jewel in my collection. I'm NOT a stickler about the "Original Canon" as some folks are but The stories and the actors have to be good! I have a few series that my wife does not care for at all, and I kind of agree but they're still good enough to keep. From the 1940's forward there have been several really good Sherlock Holmes characters and I'm glad there are still actors and writers around to keep them coming. We're still waiting for Robert Downey ... It was a blast to see Ben in Martin decked out in turn-of-the-century garb. There are a lot of subtleties to watch for that refer back to the previous episodes or to the original stories. On the other hand, I was disappointed to see that they did only one episode instead of three as previously -- even if the other two reverted back to modern clothing. Makes the single episode kind of pricey; and, like the review title, leaves you unsatisfied and wanting more.It was a blast to see Ben in Martin decked out in turn-of-the-century garb. Excellent movie to own
This is a great movie to anyone who likes the BBC Sherlock series in any way. This does not come in any of the seasons/series and I am very glad I can add it to make my full set. It also adds a clue needed later in the 4th season.

A Great Series with Wonderful Actors
This DVD makes you glue to your TV for keeping you in suspense, while following the clues to find out who was the murder. Gives you a surprise ending. I recommend this DVD to any fans of Sherlock Holmes. A must to have in your collection.

Brilliant script and wonderful acting
Excellent! As always, great writing, spectacular acting, superbly spooky. A clever, creepy, brilliant installment in the Sherlock series!
