We have enjoyed watching The Untamed series on Netflix for several years. Then Netflix removed it from their line-up. Big Mistake! We were thrilled to find a DVD version that is compatible with American DVD players. The subtitles are very good with more detailed verbiage that the Netflix version. All disks came in a well-curated boxed case with easy to navigate information and menus etc. The price was good, shipping was super-fast! I am very glad we know own the set. Best Chinese drama ever!

Received fast. Packaging of the 12 discs is excellant. I checked all the discs and they load ok. I have not had time to watch the series yet. I did notice the subtitles are different than what I am used to with Netflix version, but I'm sure I can adapt. So glad to have a copy of this series. 🙏

DVD set is definitely not worth it if you care about video quality!
I ordered this version cuz I wanted my own copy and because the reviews on here were good. Unfortunately, this DVD set is definitely not worth it if you care about video quality! When I finally got it I was very surprised at how bad the colour and video look. Not sure why a DVD released in 2019 looks like a 360p video on Youtube, but its very annoying to watch. Especially after you have seen it in HD on Netflix. I have older shows on DVD and none of them look this bad.There was also the Gi studio logo in the top left corner the entire time. Which is absolutely ridiculous. English subtitles are ok (so far) but move too fast sometimes. I'm a fast reader and I still had to pause or rewind to get the full sentence. Awesome drama, excellent quality DVD set
The Untamed was an awesome Chinese Web Drama and I very much wanted to have my own copy.as its something to repeat watch. This DVD set was well worth what I paid for it. Its high quality with decent subtitles. Of course nothing is like listening in original language but compared to a lot of other subtitles from different streaming sites, this one is pretty good. If you love emotional content, well rounded characters, good story telling, gorgeous period costumes and great music, then this series does all these points justice. It does have its failings and major shortcomings in that CGI effects, editing , fight scene choreography are pretty poor thanks to its low budget. The greatest strength of this drama is the incredible chemistry between the two male leads, the emotions conveyed are all ... Chen Qing Ling / The Untamed
Best drama of the year (2019) for me. *Great casts, especially the two main leads, great costumes, props and sets, eargasm soundtracks (must listen to it), beautiful color pallet through out, great pacing and the engaging story itself. *It does have minor flaws. One of them is some parts of the CGI here and there weren't too great (I guess due to the low budget so it's acceptable to me). *A must see, at least twice. I've watched it at least 5 times already (yes, all 50 episodes). It has now became my favorite movie of all time. Great story, Well defined characters. Character development is engaging. Highly recommended watch! I am going on my second time around (50 episodes). Well worth your time!
