    This was purchased for a 2006 Rav 4. I just put it together and it kinda works but the Lock Button keeps getting stuck. the rubber insert to hit the Lock Key doesn't work all the time. So I have to press it several times for it to click. It's kind of annoying but I have no choice since the original shell is falling apart. It's better than nothing but not an exact quality match.

    As a non-OEM part, one of the positioning holes in the key is too small, so I need to drill it to make it larger. The key fixing frame needs some force to be pressed in, and even then the key still wobbles slightly. The Toyota logo is smaller than OEM one. Overall, it can be used.

    Securely holds the OEM remote blade.

    It comes with no instructions. It was difficult to remove the transponder chip from the original key but no problem fitting the transponder into this new case. The case did not close without squeezing it together with a pair of pliers. It seems to securely hold the blade from the original key and works great.

    Does not work

    A chipped key requires a battery to touch it in some way so a signal can be sent to the ignition computer to start the car. The design of the shell case does not allow for the computer chip with battery to make contact to the chip key. It may work for you but neither of the two I purchased allowed my already programed key to work.
