Product Information

The Pokémon series morphs from precious stones to precious metal and sends players on a journey to the mysterious new Distortion World in this enhanced remake of Pokémon: Pearl Version and Pokémon: Diamond Version. The Distortion World is unlike any previous Pokémon setting, letting gamers operate outside the laws of physics as they leap from suspended platforms and walk upside-down. Changes also come to the Sinnoh region in the form of the "Battle Frontier," an area containing five new battle facilities for trainers, each with its own special rules and each helmed by unique "Frontier Brain" characters. Fans of multiplayer action can also head to the new "Wi-Fi Plaza" to enjoy a number of amusement park activities, including parades, fireworks shows, and three new four-player mini-games.

    Smooth transaction. Steelbook arrived as Described. Item was shipped in a bubble wrap mailer, although was not damaged during shipping I wish it was shipped in a Box. It was shipped through "eBay International Shipping" which is not the seller's fault, but I hate this shipping method. It takes 2 times longer to be delivered, goes through 3 different shipping companies which can sometimes be challenging to follow tracking in real time. Wish it was shipped straight through USPS to me.

    Case, manual, and inserts only--all as expected

    It was just the case, manual, and inserts. No damage to the printed bits, just a bit of scuffing on the clear plastic cover sleeve--totally expected. Inserts and manuals were free of damage--just the expected level of curling these DS cases cause naturally. As an aside, the cover art is really pretty with that holofoil background. I'd purchased the bare games separately a long while ago, so it's great to be able to get cases for them now and make them a bit safer to store. (The games are also great!)

    Best Gen 4 Main Title

    This game is a great place to explore the Sinnoh region, especially before the remakes come out! Very nostalgic and brings back those happy memories :) The story is really good and Cynthia is one of the best Poké champions. The starters are all very balanced and the added Pokémon in this title really add to the game. Highly recommend to new and old players!!

    Great game, high prices

    Platinum is one of the most fun and lore-heavy games for the DS. It tends to freeze at times, but this is actually very common amongst copies of the game, because of the fit in the DS slot. Just make sure to save your game frequenly. Although I got the game for a better price than anything else I saw, the used gaming market is pretty bad right now. So, save your money and wait until prices are normal again unless you're absolutely itching for an authentic copy.

    Bang for your buck

    An absolute steal for the market this item is in! The game runs perfectly and can transfer Pokémon up to 5th generation and further. Couldn’t be happier! I was missing these games in my collection from when I was younger. Can’t believe I gave these away or sold them.. Glad I can indulge in nostalgia!

    Reproduction But Works Flawlessly

    The game is a repro cart BUT it works exactly like an authentic one does. The PokéTransfer works perfectly and so does every other feature. If you want a working cartridge of Platinum and don't care if its a repro then I would recommend this.
