The main movie is about 180 minutes long but the 388-minute Blu-ray disc contains many bonus features including galleries, deleted scenes, and audio commentaries by the production crew. Featuring a terrific ensemble, this epic revolves around the experiences of a motley group that encounters a gigantic gorilla on a remote island; they capture the beast and ship it back to the United States. The movie reaches fever pitch when the beast breaks loose and stampedes across 1930s New York. Although the mighty Kong dies in the end, the movie's numerous action and romantic scenes ensure viewer satisfaction. In this film, Peter Jackson showcases incredible prowess by enhancing a retro setting with spectacular special effects without straying from the 1933 plot.

    Great special effects movie with heart.

    I love this production of the King Kong story. This one has Andy Serkis doing his magic in creating Kong by doing performance capture. He does the acting and his motions are captured by the computer then made into the character. He acted as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. HIs emotions come through into Kong and gives the great ape a human-like personality. That's why I love this movie - the personality of King Kong. Besides there's some other great CG.

    Awesome remake.....

    Grab yourself a MONSTER sized bucket of popcorn sit back and enjoy the one of the best action/fantasy/classic monster movies ever!!!!! Wasn't sure what to expect of this movie before I saw it because of the original being one of my childhood favorites but happy to say it is definitely worth 3hours of your time (yes 3hrs.) Awesome, Awesome, remake of a Great classic!!!!!

    Fun to watch

    The surround sound in this movie is some of the best. I use the Brontosaurus stampede as a great test for video and audio. It will test a system. King King has all the elements, love story, action, adventure, fantasy, and lot of plot shifts.

    Special Affect Galore

    Naomi Watts does her thing with King Kong very well. It is somewhat sad when an animal loves human but people either can't reprecicate or simply acting selfish and cruel.
