One of gaming's most iconic first-person shooters returns as players once again assume the role of Captain B.J. Blazkowicz and battle the brutal Nazi menace in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Having spent more than a decade suffering from amnesia in an asylum, Blazkowicz escapes into 1960s Europe only to find a world where the Nazis won WWII and now control the entire globe. The action finds gamers embarking on a nearly impossible mission to infiltrate the Nazi compound Deathshead, and battling robots and giant super soldiers on a trek to take down General Wilhelm Strasse.<br><br>Unlike most contemporary first-person shooters, The New Order doesn't let players recover health simply by avoiding combat for a few moments. Health regenerates in small segments, and gamers must use a cover and lean mechanic to avoid taking too much damage, while locating health or armor to fully recover. Players can acquire armor by killing Nazis and then taking their helmets or by destroying robot dogs and using the leftover parts, and they can even eat dog food to increase their health. There are also number of perk trees that reward gamers with upgrades and new abilities depending on the way they engage in combat.

    Best Wolfenstein ever, no hyperbole.

    I won't go into things very in depth as there have been numerous professional reviews in the last couple of years since Wolfenstein released. I will say that this is easily far and away my very favorite entry in the series. The alternate history science fiction approach is a perfect fit and for the first time, this series has a substantial narrative aspect. The wide assortment of weaponry at your disposal is impressive and using them in various creative ways leads to some gratifying kills. There are times when a stealthy approach is preferable and it's a blast to pull that off. It doesn't feel aggravating or tedious like it does in many other games use of a stealth mechanic.     Keeps an old man's mind sharp.

    I never tried these video games until this year. I am 82 yrs old so not fast or good enough for multiplayer games. I love this game, it keeps my mind sharp since I can use various ways to reach my goal. Best game I played, the recoil of the weapons reminds me of my time in the Marines. As I understand the game more I increase the difficulty, but still can't do uber.

    SciFi with great story line....

    The graphics ate incredible. The game play is exciting, and actually draws you into the plot. To be honest, I expected nothing less from Bethesda studios, they did it again, another triumphant release, bound for addictive glory.

    I LIKE VIDEO GAMES

    I am 73 this year; I love to play video games. I think all kids could improve different skills by playing video games. The problem is most parents use video games for baby sitters; and of course if a person does something long enough, it is hard to stop. Some complain that kids spend too much time at this, that is where parental control is suppose to intervene! Gone are the days of Kids playing in and around the neighborhood; Our world is changing and mostly dangerous; the sanctity of home should be kept as long as possible, even if it is kept so by playing video games!     Nice Game!!!

    I had this game on the PS3 but it looks and feels better in the PS4. It is for adults only playing and not for kids, but has a very compelling story-line.
