Monty Python delivers a scathing, anarchic satire of both religion and Hollywood's depiction of all things biblical with their second--and tightest--full-length film. At the center of it all is Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman), a reluctant would-be messiah who rises to prominence as a result of a series of absurd and truly hilarious circumstances that parallel the life of Christ--providing ample opportunity for the entire ensemble (John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Chapman) to shine in multiple roles as they blaspheme and mock everyone and everything from ex-lepers, Pontius Pilate, and the art of haggling to crazy prophets, Roman centurions, and crucifixion.Directed by Python Terry Jones, MONTY PYTHON'S LIFE OF BRIAN is an uproarious biblical parody that does to ancient Rome what THE HOLY GRAIL did to the Middle Ages. Rome is run by pathetic wimps, liberation fronts fight with each other over acronyms, and gladiators put on bloody children's matinees as the people search desperately for someone to lead them out of their life of misery and poverty. And Brian is that man. Sort of. Well, not really. Chapman excels as Brian, a simple, quiet man suddenly thrust in the role of leading the revolution--while constantly being yelled at by his shrew of a mother.

    I purchased 5 items on last Saturday 01/02/2015. 3 Monty Python movies, a Star Trek pin, and a Tribble - which by the way is adorable. I received 4 of the items by Tuesday. 01/05/2015. Two of the movies, the pin, and the Tribble. The 5th item was purchased from Target. I received it today. 01/07/2015 Bravo to the private sellers who rush purchases out to their patrons. I expected Target to be here first, but no, it was one of the movies from a private seller. Yes, I know it was only 2 days, but when a private seller beats a multi-billion dollar distribution center, it's a big hurray for the little guy.

    When are the best month of Monty Python’s films?

    Pretty funny film and just showed you the satire of money, Python. This film could not be made today because it is so politically incorrect and because it’s biting humor, I have always thought Monty Python’s elevator did not stop at the top floor. That these men were geniuses just on this side of sanity annually they could get away with making a film like this. I wish to really enjoy it.

    Best Monty Python Movie EVER!

    This movie will keep you laughing at poor Brian, whom people keep mistaking for the son of God. Positive message overall, and an uplifting ending!
