I know it needs to have some space but measure tape says it's over 1" from bottom of tank. Still works though. So happy. Seller recommended 1/2" from bottom of tank clearance but is over an inch. Should of been 1/2" longer 98 500 sportsman. Also not sellers fault the cap sits higher on tank threads then OEM cap. So it reads 7/8ths when actually full.

All gauges on Sportsman and other Polaris models let you know when you are down to 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank, depending on the model.

I mistakenly ordered this rebuild kit for the 2000 Arctic Cat 400, when I had intended to order one for a 2000 Arctic Cat 300. I contacted Dean and he told me the only different part in the kits is the main jet, and offered to swap them out. He even shipped the correct main jet before I had sent back the one I had. Truly an exceptional seller.
