This fan is heat activated; simply put it on top of the metal stove top and when the stove top reaches the temperature of 50 degrees Celcius, the fan turns on automatically. This fan pushes hot air at an incredible 350 feet per minute, which is enough to reach the cool corners of the space very quickly.

    I have this second one as the previous fan was doing such a good job. It is quiet, and really push the air forward, and it looks better to have two on the log burner. Brillaint item, very well made.

    I have only used it once so far but it worked well. I hadn't realised that it has an electrical component which assists the fan, rather than being powered by hot air alone. I would be interested to know the life expectancy of this component. The fan looks good and is quiet when operating.

    I bought this refurbished fan to sit nex...

    I bought this refurbished fan to sit next to my other fan, which is the same model but brand new. The refurbished fan takes longer to start spinning and even longer to reach full RPM. However, once it does, it performs just as well as the new one.

    Awesome

    I was a bit sceptical on how much difference a fan would make,but i was wrong.Not only does it help to heat the room quicker,I have found that I am using less wood in the process.It is super silent and we have noticed that the room still has some warmth the next morning.

    Total waste of money

    I bought this fan in the hope that it would circulate the warm air more evenly in our lounge. Well, what a total waste of money! While it seems to be very well made, there is absolutely no difference with heat circulation whether I use it or not. I would imagine that it would need to be at least 3 times the size to make any difference, so would need a massive opening and a rear flue pipe, I have neither! It as turned out to be an expensive talking point with visitors, and certainly not fit for the purpose it is advertised for! The old adage "if something seems too good to be true, then it probably is" couldn't be more fitting. I have spoken to many other people who have purchased a fan, and all of them without exception have agreed with what I have put in this review. My honest advice ...
