Nintendo 3DS gamers find refined 3D fighting, and a feature-length movie to boot, in Tekken 3D Prime. The game boasts a stereoscopic 3D display at 60 frames per second, to bring the series' fast-paced fighting style to life on the small screen, with never-before-seen depth. The roster of more than 40 fighters includes all the characters that appeared in the series' most recent console offering, Tekken 6. Multiplayer bouts can be fought over a Wi-Fi connection. In addition to the game, the cartridge also contains the computer-animated film, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, in full 3D.<br><br>Game modes include a version of the series' Tag Challenge, in a campaign of more than two-dozen missions, as well as more straightforward match types. As they find victory in the various modes, players obtain virtual Tekken Cards, which can be traded through StreetPass. Over 700 cards are available in the game, and may be collected to unlock items and features. Set in the time between Tekken 5 and Tekken 6, the movie Blood Vengeance continues the epic of the feuding Mishima clan, following the stories of Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch, whose budding friendship is caught in the cross-faction rivalry.

    Could be a lot better

    I am not thrilled with this game, the customization is gone. The fighting seems stiff, there is little to unlock that is even worthwhile and the game is entirely too difficult to even be fun and without any rewards it all seems pointless. I do however like the graphics and 1 or 2 original fighting stages are really cool. I also like how they packed in the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie in 3D for free. I am not sure why Nintendo does not have a 3D movie format for the 3DS they could make millions selling 3D movie carts for the 3DS. I really want to like this game it is just hard given how little incentive you have to play given the lack of rewards, and difficulty.

    Oldie But Goodie

    Tekken 3D Prime is a great version of the fighting game for the Nintendo 3DS, and as always, a deep involving game, graphics are crisp and no slowdown whatsoever. Plus you get a movie with this game as well, which is a great plus for fans of the series. You can't beat that, a game and a movie. What's better than that for the 3DS?
