"Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition" for the Xbox 360 served as a reboot for the entire series. Raiden, realizing the destruction of the universe was at hand, has found a way to go back to the past. He travels back to the events of the first "Mortal Kombat" game to change the direction of history. As a result, the story in this fighting game isn't just a retelling of the previous games. Rather, as Raiden alters history, the "Mortal Kombat" timeline starts to branch off into a new direction. Enemies become allies, and not everyone makes it out alive in this reboot. The "Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition" had a release date of 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, one year after the previous game in the series. It was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition" for the Xbox 360 is a one on one fighting game. Players can select one of over 35 fighters. These fighters include almost every character from the original "Mortal Kombat" game up to "Mortal Kombat 3." Fan favorites like Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn return alongside niche characters like Noob Saibot. Players will punch, kick, and throw their opponents to decrease their life bar. When an opponent's life bar is empty, he loses the match. Like in the past video games in this series, each combatant has an array of unique special moves. Sub-Zero can use ice to freeze his opponent while Scorpion can impale a foe with a spear. Fatalities also make a return in the Komplete Edition. At the end of a match, you can dismember your opponent with a fatality move. These moves trigger unique scenes at the end of the battle, and they ensure that your opponent will not live to see another fight. This Xbox 360 game adds a few new features as well. X-Ray moves are bone shattering moves you can perform when your super meter is full. These moves allow you to hit your opponent with some powerful attacks. When each attack connects, an X-ray is shown of your opponent, indicating the bones that are breaking. You can also use the super meter to perform enhanced versions of your special moves. Many of the game modes from previous Mortal Kombat games also make an appearance for the Xbox 360 version. In addition to the Story mode, fans can also enjoy the single player Arcade mode. Tag team games allow you to fight your opponent in a two against-two match. The title also features tests that will judge your reflexes, strength, and endurance. Lastly, the Komplete Edition supports both local multiplayer and online multiplayer. The "Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition" features all of the downloadable content released for the video game. You'll gain access to four brand new characters with this version of the title. These fighters include Rain, a ninja who can control the weather, and horror icon Freddy Krueger. You'll receive all of the DLC costumes as well. These outfits range from brand new looks to classic duds, and you can use them on your chosen character. This title has a rating of M due to its graphic nature. Whether you're playing alone or with a friend, the "Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition" game offers hours of fun. The single player story content alone will take most gamers around 20 hours to complete while the sparring mode allows for endless open play.

    The gamecube was described as tested and working and when it arrived it wouldnt read disc but luckily i managed to fixed it and the seller did give me a partial refund for my issue so in that way its fine after all, it did come in the same condition as the pics so big up for that, the packaging couldve maybe used a bit more padding as everything was just put in one box without anything protecting the items (might be why it came not working) so thats why the 4* other than that good customer servi

    My original Nintendo Entertainment System arrived exactly as described. The packaging was amazing the seller did an awesome job of protecting everything individually inside the shipping box and shipping was also amazing.     One of the Best MK games to Date!

    Everything about MK9 was flawless. After the non-violent Teen rated, MK vs DC Universe, NRS had to bring MK back to it's gore soaked roots. Enter "Mortal Kombat" (aka MK9) : Labeled as a soft reboot, of the original trilogy (MK1 - UMK3), it brought back brand new gruesome Fatalities, a new unique mix between a Babality and a Friendship, simply called Babalities, intense reimaginings of klassic stage Fatalities from the first three original MK games, Tag Team Matches, new modes, such as a Test Your Luck ladder and an awesome story mode, which I believe is the best story out of MK9,MKX and MK11. The gameplay has been brought back, to it's klassic 2D style of fighting, with a good amount of kombos and special moves for each character.     If your a MK fan, then u appreciate all of them ! Sir velvete has way to much time on his plate to autopsy every MK game! U should be a developer! 😂XBOX one compared to XBOX OG well u have a match up of ps1 with PS4 ! I’m stocked to have gotten the game for an amazing low price !     One of the better games for the Xbox 360

    I don't usually play fighting games, but this one is very fun and a joy to play. Controls take some getting used to. A great deal if you only have a Xbox 360 and not an Xbox One.
