Rare games are rare
This is an amazing game. It's novel, well constructed and has high replay value. Is the value good? Of course not, but that's because it's so freaking rare! If you want a chance to play the original and hold a rare cartridge, then it's time to pony up the dough.

Totally a manual
So, I ordered the Metal Storm manual, and it is Awesome. It gives you a brief overview of the game, no spoilers, and it has a wicked cliffhangar that makes you play the game to get to the ending! You need to get this manual!
