the negative reviews were correct
my knife had problems right out of the box,short blades will not stay latched in unit,,, blade release very difficult ,what a challenge to remove battery ,warranty is smallest print i have ever seen,no phone number to call! went back and forth with emails ! the warranty requires me to mail unit back insured at my expense and include cost for them to send me another if they choose to do so,,, there were a number of reviews that covered the issues im having ! ,,, i have to be honest i used this to clean several big fish with the long set of blades that would stay latched and it worked well better than another brand i own that is corded,,after saying that i suppose it will fail the next time i use it ;( i have had a couple issues with things in the past with other companies with faulty items and most will send a return label and stand behind there product without charging you more! dissapointed to say the least not sure if i would buy again or just use non electric knfe

Excellent Kinife - Filleting Is A Breeze
Very good knife. Cuts through bones with ease and I have never had the battery run out of power even during a fish cleaning. Charges to a full charge in an hour or less depending on use. The second battery insures that you won't run out of power if you forget or can't charge the other one. Works just as well as a corded knife.

Nice
Nice knife but.......... The 4th. one I've owned in 6 years. They still don't have that stupid blade release fixed yet. Still the best cutting knife on the market

great knive but blade release buttons need work
great knife, but I have had 2 in the last month that the blade release buttons are very hard to get the knives to release.

The best...
Hard to imagine a better fillet knife. We catch a lot of large fish and this knife cuts right through the big bones...

excellent battery fillet knife
