Simple, flexible unit but you need to have a bit of a clue.
I use Voipstunt, within seconds of getting this unit it was registered and working with them. I also use Netelip, in Spain, working perfectly. This had a USA plug so I had to use a local power unit but I will be adapting the supplied for other things. It has a lot of flexibility, from looking at the GUI, best to set only what you need. I think the 4 port unit may have been a better choice as you seem to be able to make more "PABX" type functions that would suite me but I only needed the two port model and for the price, well happy. Since I have made this review I need to add a note. First, it still great but the bit I needed to know was how to stop, ghost, calls from non SIP registered devices, sort of peer to peer calls and we were inundated with them on both lines. The calls appeared to come from 100, 101, 1000 or 1001 but no one there. It was so bad, we unplugged it at night. Then I discovered the two settings I needed to change. Validate Incoming SIP Messages. Set to YES Check SIP UserID for incoming INVITE. Set to YES I found this advice on the web but not allowe to give the link: It was whichvoip in America so the suffix is a given. Then look for the grandstream ht701-review If you want direct calling, you cant set these but it was a MUST for me. Brilliant little box for me, even got to learn something new.

Go for the updated, current unit if you can.
This is a Grandstream "legacy" product, no longer supported by the manufacturer. I got this unit to match another702 that was in working service on another line, but couldn't program it correctly per instructions from our VoIP provider. The GS-HT802 is the current product in this line, and one of those then replaced the two 702s (handles both lines) and has been working fine ever since. The only advantage to the 702 was that it seemed to remain connected to the Internet from behind a network switch, and the 802 would lose connectivity intermittently. But by replacing both 702s with one 802, the switch is no longer in the circuit.This is a Grandstream "legacy" product, no longer supported by the manufacturer. These are used units with new power supplies. They are in perfect working order. However, the firmware should be updated and this is easily done but you must change the URL for the update to occur.
