Simply great! As far as the movie is concerned
Tells the story like truly was. Detailed. Lost most of my family thanks to those CRIMINALS. Up to now haven't been able to recover my families belongings, properties, paintings etc thanks to SS, Gestapo and very especially the German "government". Remember Terezinstad, Buchenwald, Auschwitz. Remember the cattle wagons, segregations. I still have the memory of the so called soup spoons. If anyone needs my father's number let me know. Great historical value
I watched this move when it first aired in 1978 and I was only 6yrs old and I think it aired a second time and we watch it a few years later. But even as a 6 yr old child I found this movie to be so moving and truthful that it really changed my life because I had heard about the holocaust but this movie was as if I lived through it. I could connect even at that age with the Jews and their struggle. I learned a lot from the movie but was left always wondering why were 4 million Jews willing to walk into those death camps. They out numbered the German 100-1 any type of a united stand and they would have destroyed the Nazi’s and ended their persecution.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

A True Eye Opener
The Holocaust was and is a true stain on human history. This magnificently done “Made for TV movie showcases the talents of Meryl Streep, Fritz Weaver, James Wood and a great supporting cast. A made for tv mini-series re-telling of a true story about what the Nazis did to the jewish people.
I saw this mini-series a long time ago back in 1978. I remembered the jest of it of course. The story takes place in the late 1930s' with the rise of Germany to power and Adolph Hitler as supreme leader. At first, things are not that bad for the persecuted jewish people. But, the Nazis keeping altering the agreement until Jews are arrested, suspected of causing trouble, blamed for things that go wrong, and eventually they are questioned by the german police, rounded up forced to wear son's of david stars on the coats or dresses to tell them apart, the german officers take away all their free masonic books & burn them. Very good
It is the true story of the Weiss family and what they endured due to no fault of their own. The story is well told and yes it is upsetting but then war is always upsetting. I admit the Jews were chosen by Hitler and it is too bad they could not fight back. May love prevail.
Arrived well packaged and timely. The rating question "Is it entertaining" is inappropriate to the content. The fim is informative, enlightening, and grotesque as it reflex on the human propensity for unconscionable acts. It is a timely subject in conjunction with what humanity is inflicting on the biosphere. The pandemic is but one symptom of our imbalance with nature. Great Miniseries
I bought this to view again while passing time in the Pandemic. It was provocative, engaging and well done. While the move tells a tragic story of the Weiss family during the Holocaust it is entertaining and educational.It’s well worth your time and money . Give it a shot. The movie is about the Holocaust.
