  • Fantastic plan for losing weight sensibly!

    My husband and I have been following this plan for the past 2 months and so far, have lost 1 stone each. We are not struggling with the fasting days, as they are easy to manage - you just have to make the best choices on those days and try to maximise the flavour and content of the choices you make. So far, so good and I can't see us stopping any time soon. Definitely the most manageable plan for losing weight sensibly on a regular basis.

  • Reading this book has transformed my life!

    I can't thank Dr Michael Mosely enough for writing this book. Both a friend and my sister had recommended this book after they both successful lost weight. It's such a useful reference book and inspiration to start a fast diet. This 2 day fast diet really works. Over 10 years I had put on over 1 stone/9 kgs. Whatever I did I couldn't seem to lose weight. And keep it off. I have been on the fast diet for 7 weeks now and have lost a 4kgs/9lbs. I've less than a kilo to lose to be back at my weight 10 years ago. This book has some colour plates of tasty meals. A calorie page, to help you make wise choices. This diet is very easy to follow. I can't recommend this book enough!!

  • The best healthy lifestyle book ever

    A great little book that echoes and elaborates on Michael's Horizon documentary with some delicious fast day recipes thrown in. Arguments are backed by the most up to date science and research by many credible and authoritative sources. Reading and adopting its teachings really is a no-brainer for a sustainable healthier life. 10 out of 10 and thanks to Michael and Mimi for writing it.

  • Possibly A Good Way to Lose Weight More Easily

    Written essentially in note form and fairly persuasive, if the reader has the will to stick to the diet. For those who really enjoy eating, even when not hungry, the book may not be entirely persuasive. The fact is that there is no magic answer and weight loss requires eating less and selecting proper foods, taking more exercise. For some the book will provide a diet that will work but willpower is essential to any diet, alas! Certainly worth a dead and the regime worth a go.

  • A useful, informative book.

    I have been intermittent fasting for a few months. I have successfully lot weight by it. I bought this book to see another take on it is an easier fast that I use but is an easy way to loose weight if stuck to . It is not a fad but will become a way of life that will benefit you.

  • The Fast Diet

    Very easy to understand and versatile the diet can be adapted to your lifestyle, although I have only been carrying out the plan for two weeks so far I am very pleased with the results. I would recommend that everybody should do the 5 to 2 diet and not just people who need to lose weight. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

  • Interesting concept for dieting

    I wouldnt say the content is compelling - but is as compelling as a book about dieting and loosing weight will ever get! It is well written and factual without overloading on the science aspect of dieting.

    a bit too wordy though content is interesting it is a bit long winded much better to get the recipe book instead as it is easier to read and has all the relevant information you do not need both books

  • The Fast Diet

    For those of you who want to start a diet in the New Year this is the book for you. Easy to read, easy to do. Because you are fasting on 2 days and eating normally for 5 it doesn't feel like you are on a diet. Lots of information, calorie counter and a few menus for the days you fast. Excellent, give it a read.
