A novelty set that you can actually play with
Simpsons chess is surprisingly playable. Unlike most novelty sets, you can clearly distinguish the pieces which means you can actually play with this set. On the other hand, the pieces are not well weighted, so are a bit inclined to fall over, and the board is on the small side which means it looks rather crowded when you are playing. As an overall package, I think this is great. The pieces are super durable and encourage my youngest kid to play.
