    The story of an epidemic and how the cause was proved.

    Very interesting science non-fiction book about an epidemic. Some dry reading with more science or statistics than I needed but overall, a compelling story of how two men from very different backgrounds and with different goals came together to prove Cholera was caused not by odors or Miasma, but was a water-borne illness as all the cases could be traced to a single pump.

    Good combination of information and ease of reading

    This is extremely vivid in its description of conditions in London at the times of the cholera outbreaks. Very informative while at the same time a relaxing read. Fascinating to follow the search for cause and prevention/cure of cholera.
