The Sony SEL85F18 lens is an 85mm mid-range telephoto prime lens designed to enhance sharpness and bokeh when shooting portraits. Developed as an accessory to E-mount mirrorless cameras, this lens has a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture with auto-adjust capability. It also features a focus hold button and wide focus ring that are dust and moisture resistant. The ED glass and nine-blade circular aperture provide additional sharpness and allow for customized focus effects. These features also assist with chromatic aberration compensation.

Speakers arrived with the wrong power cord (EU instead of US), but after I emailed them they offered me a $22 courtesy refund, which more than covered the cost of the replacement power cord from Amazon.     My experience with this seller was generally positive. I didn't receive any communication regarding shipment but based on its early arrival, it obviously shipped when the listing said it would.     Great Portrait Lens

    I consider photography as a hobby and do not do it professionally. I purchased this lens because it is a Native lens to the Sony System and learned it was good for portraits. Although this is a Full Frame camera lens, I use it on my Sony A6100 APS-C camera. I have achieved great portraits and wonderful bokeh. I'm still experimenting with portraiture picture taking but I can say I am really happy with the results so far.

    light and works well -I was happy to buy it used

    - it makes it a much better value .. however, im still not used to the way the focusing works on this - it is tuned to autofocus in a jiffy - the manual focus seems to jump into place .. i havnt got the hang of it yet ... the OLED display is nice - though i havent had a chance to make use of it shooting any video yet ..

    SONY FE 85MM F-1.8

    Sony 85mm f1.8 is affordable, Pics are sharp,crisp and bokeh is cream .In short telephoto range of prime lenses this is the best prime lens for its price.Very light and durable, It is not weather sealed.It performs well in dim light and indoor -outdoor portraiture photography. BE AWARE on EBAY some sellers from other countries are HIKING up the price . If you have patience you can find a very good deal on a new one on ebay within a week or two. Best lens should be in every sony e mount full frame shooters arsenal.
