It turns out that different PS1 models have different sized port openings. This wasn't the seller's fault and we both learned from it. Communication was fast and friendly. They send a refund and told me to keep the part and update the listing with the new information. Despite the disappointment, I recommend this seller, who made the best of an unexpected situation.
